Zaha Hadid designs Nova Shoe for United Nude

Architect Zaha Hadid with her passion for shoes, and shoe designer, Rem d Koolhaas of United Nude, collaborated to unveil new limited edition haute couture shoes. The new Nova Shoe from the duo debuted at the iconic store L’eclaireur, 40 rue de Sévigné, Paris, on July 2. The shoe is known to be the first in the world made using rotation molding, which is the only molding technique that allows for a smooth and seamless result. The shoe has also used hand-molded methods such as vacuum casting.

The new design elegantly combines fashion with architecture, resulting in a unique shoe design, which ignores conventional techniques. It features an innovative cantilevered system that allows a 6.25 inches heel to appear completely unsupported. It is also composed of seamless integration of innovative materials, which ensures the highest standards of comfort.
