CES 2018: LG introduces 65-inch 4K OLED display that can roll up like a poster

On the first day of this year, LG blew everyone’s mind by revealing the 88-inch 8K OLED display that will showcased at the upcoming CES 2018. But it won’t be the only piece of jaw-dropping OLED display tech the South Korean electronics giant will be arriving with at the expo. LG will show off another world’s first at CES: a 65-inch 4K OLED display that can be rolled up and hidden when not in use. It was four years back when LG showed us an 18-inch OLED display which was capable of rolling up like a newspaper and promised a bigger version in the future. It has finally delivered on its promise with this 65-inch OLED screen that it flexible enough to spin up into tube form.

Like the 88-inch 8K OLED display, the 65-inch 4K OLED screen is just a prototype and LG has not given us with any technical specifications on both the displays. What we can see from the released images is that the flexible screen rolls up and out of its sound bar-like box when in use and back into it when switched off. There is no word on how soon we’ll see the foldable display in its production variant and how much it might cost.
