It’s common to take dogs for a stroll. Some may go as far as venturing out with their cats too. But taking your pet goldfish for a walk? Now that’s unheard of! However, proving that the finned-wonders also deserve a change of place is inventor and famous Youtuber – Huang Xiaojie.

The maverick has built a custom fish tank that allows him to do the needful (i.e., carry his goldfish along) with the help of a custom welded chassis that supports a sealed acrylic tube on wheels. The portable carrier also comes with a handle that allows it to be pushed around on just about any flat surface.

Technically, the tank is backed by a battery-powered filtration that enables freshwater to be circulated to the fish, while an air pump ensures that the oxygen flows in at all times. The device also comes with a lighting system to keep it illuminated at night.

Although the tank is only a concept at present, Huang is hoping to drop it on shelves in the future with the help of crowdfunding. Surprisingly enough, this isn’t the first time someone has attempted to build a fish tank on wheels.

Last year, a Japanese company called “Ma corporation” designed the “katsugyo bag” that allowed fish to be carried along or transported for consumption. It was purported as an environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional water-filled plastic bag and was large enough to fit five fish at once.
