Leica has introduced a new limited edition camera created in partnership with English luxury travel lifestyle brand Globe-Trotter. It is based on the camera maker’s Q model and features specially selected Globe-Trotter leather in navy or light pin. Designed for travelers with a penchant for high-quality camera gear, it comes in a specially produced case based on the historic nine-inch Mini Trotter, a famous model for the Globe-Trotter brand. It is encased in Jet leather to match the camera body instead of the usual vulcanized fiber material. The case features dividers on the inside for organizing smaller items, a soft microfiber lining, and convenient inside pocket on the case lid which is perfect for carrying everyday items such as a wallet and mobile phone. It also comes with a Bordeaux-colored adjustable shoulder strap.
The limited edition Leica Q’s specifications are the same as the standard model. It boasts a 24-megapixel, full frame sensor and a super sharp 28mm fixed lens. Along with the classic Leica ‘red dot’ logo on the front, the limited edition sports the serial number engraved on the top cover. Only 50 units will be available for sale, which will only be sold in Leica stores in Japan and the UK priced at around $7500.
