Couturier turns baker: Karl Lagerfeld creates Chanel lipstick shaped cake for Alain Ducasse restaurant

If until this day, Karl Lagerfeld has shot his cat Choupette (photographically of course) for a Shu Uemura campaign or hit Paris Fashion Week with a Chanel feminist protest, expect only him to take to baking for Beige Alain Ducasse Tokyo next. For the restaurant’s 10th anniversary, the design icon has created the ‘lipstick Yule log’. And just in time for Christmas!

Lagerfeld, also known as Head Designer of Chanel has paid homage to the fashion house even while honoring Monégasque chef Alain Ducasse’s Tokyo-based eatery in dark chocolate and caramel! His sweet recreation of the iconic Chanel lipstick shape is available as a limited edition of 100 Yule logs. Christmas in Japan anyone? And while you’re there, try not to miss out on the special meal prepared by Chef Kei Kojima as part of the restaurant’s anniversary celebrations, using only the most luxurious ingredients from France and Japan.
