Ibiza’s Ronaldo and Nadal backed Zela restaurant is set to open in London

If you’ve ever been to the party capital of Spain – Ibiza, you may already be familiar with Zela, a Japanese – Mediterranean fusion restaurant that has some famous backers including soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, tennis champ Rafael Nadal, and award winning singer Enrique Iglesias. Now this Ibiza staple is going overseas with a new restaurant coming to London.

London foodies can expect Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, craft cocktails, and good service with Ibizan music. On the menu are Japanese classics like Sushi and Temaki, plus international extras like Ceviché, Dim Sum, etc. Other items include tiradito of scallops with Ibizan sobrasada; butterfish nigiri with white truffle; Iberico pork gyoza and 48-hour braised Wagyu teriyaki.

There’s also a promising cocktail menu which will also blend Asian and Mediterranean elements. Look out for drinks like Santa Maria (sherry, homemade spice mix, tomato, and basil) and Harakiri (sake, lime, egg white, shiso syrup) as well a range of wines and sakes.
