The Macallan Masters of Photography: Magnum Edition is the seventh limited edition release in The Macallan Masters of Photography series. This collaboration with Magnum photos comes after previous tie-ups with Steven Klein, Mario Testino and Annie Leibovitz.
The special edition pack includes a single malt crafted from a combination of eight casks as well as a series of prints by six world renowned Magnum photographers – Steve McCurry, Martin Parr, Paolo Pellegrin, Mark Power, Gueorgui Pinkhassov and Alec Soth. The prints capture different aspects of the new Macallan distillery from its genesis to completion.
Meanwhile the scotch – created by The Macallan Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess – aims to reflect the photography style of each of the Magnum photographers and to represent Magnum itself. The whisky promises to be intensely sweet yet classic Macallan with edge and depth. The tasting notes include candied dried fruits and a butterscotch sweetness with a soft spice that moves into a honeyed nut note.
