Tom Dixon pays tribute to coffee culture with a beautiful copper coffee set

British designer Tom Dixon has created a stunning copper coated set of implements to brew and serve coffee. Featuring a tin for storing coffee beans or grounds, a scoop, a cafetière, a stovetop espresso maker, a milk pan, espresso cups, a biscuit tin and a serving tray, the set looks impressively modern and chic thanks to its lustrous copper finish. The set is titled “Brew.”

“Brew is a celebration of the coming together of heat, steam, water and coffee grounds – a tribute to the mysteries of the modern-day coffee ceremony,” said a statement from Dixon, “The range includes a piece to perfect every stage of the coffee ritual, from the push of the plunger to the dunk of the biscuit.”

All the pieces in the set can be presented on the circular tray. The espresso cups can even be stacked on top of one another to save space. Dixon acknowledges the role of coffee in modern culture saying, “Brew acknowledges coffee making as a form of art and coffee drinking as an elevated occasion, a ceremonial performance that merits time and reverence.” Think of English high teas and Asian tea ceremonies but this time with a coffee twist.
