After TikTokers had a bizarre experience of being the only guests at an ultra-luxury resort in Mexico, the same hotel introduced a ‘Billionaire Buyout’ package. The $600,000 package offers a staff of 180, Michelin-starred chefs, a massive pool, and tasting rooms all to yourself.

One man’s woe becomes another man’s wish. A perfect example of this is how one TikTok user and his wife documented their experience as the first and only guests at the newly opened 79-suite Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos. What stunned the duo led to the creation of a ‘Billionaire Buyout’ package at the adults-only hotel. Being the sole guests in the luxury five-star resort in Mexico, where rooms start at a whopping $1,150 a night and the most expensive tacos that sell for $25,000. If that leaves you gobsmacked, then note that there’s more: multiple top chefs, a spa, an eye-popping swimming pool, and a tequila tasting room, with not one extra person in sight.

Priced at an ultra-expensive $600,000, the package includes a three-night stay with the option to select a different luxury suite each night, per Luxurytravelmagazine. Days are spent making the most of several amenities, including private dining at Michelin two-star chef Sidney Schutte’s Cocina de Autor restaurant, while evenings feature a sunset tour on the resort’s private Bella yacht. The regal treatment includes Dom Pérignon on arrival, personal training sessions, regional wine, cheese, ancestral spirits, tequila tastings, and more.

‘During the soft opening phase of the resort, we chose to limit the number of suites available for booking to provide an intentionally exclusive experience. Velas Resorts prides itself on offering the very best in service, food, accommodations, design, and experiences. We opted for a gradual increase in the number of guests to ensure a vacation that surpasses expectations for any travelers who choose Velas Resorts, whether they are our first guests or repeat visitors years after opening,’ said Andreas Schmidt, Managing Director of Grand Velas Boutique and the sister property, the Forbes Five-Star Grand Velas Los Cabos next door.

Cameron Jensen, along with his wife, described their secluded experience at the resort as ‘creepy’ and documented their stay on his TikTok account, with the videos quickly going viral. He shared, ‘I started recording on our first day when I didn’t see anybody but employees. But as the days progressed, it started to freak us out. It felt like an episode of Black Mirror.’ He continued, ‘It was kinda cool until it wasn’t. I would find myself at night looking over the whole place trying to find someone,’ he admitted.

‘Things started to get a little creepier when we went to the activities and were also by ourselves.’ Despite this, he acknowledged that the hotel was top-class and wondered why it wasn’t packed with people. In all, Cameron’s videos garnered a whopping 6.7 million views, with people understandably having a lot of questions. It looks like this ‘creepy’ experience is going to be blissful for a wealthy billionaire, complete with solace and a $600,000 bill.
