Aman is reimagining the ranch experience with the launch of its first ranch property in Texas Hill Country, United States. The sixth Aman property in the U.S., Amansanu, meaning “peaceful peak,” will draw from an extraordinary landscape of rolling hills, limestone cliffs, and winding creeks, with standalone resort pavilions and a limited collection of fully serviced Aman-branded residences. While space, serenity, and calm are permanent residents of every Aman property, the highlight here is Aman’s first fully serviced stables. Aman’s love for horses has taken a new direction, and in this version of ranch life, the saddle comes with spa rituals, architectural restraint, and ten acres of privacy.
Located northwest of Austin, the property is brought to life by Seattle-based Olson Kundig. Amansanu’s residences will echo the nature around them with open-plan living spaces, natural materials, expansive terraces, and pools. Patrons can choose the size of their sanctuary, from four to eight bedrooms, set on private plots of ten acres or more. Amenities across the destination will include a Main Lodge, several dining concepts, and an expansive Aman Spa and Wellness Centre positioned along the resort’s natural creek. Beyond equestrian pursuits, Amansanu will feature racquet sports courts, which are all the rage, along with extensive hiking trails that allow guests to immerse themselves in the surrounding landscape.
With the unveiling of Amansanu, the luxury hotel chain has added a new feather to its identity. Until now, Amangiri gave Aman the desert, Amangani gave it the mountains, Aman New York gave it the city, and finally, Amansanu gave it the untapped ranch. So far, no information on room count, residence pricing, or opening date has been provided, but this is certainly something worth waiting for.
