If you needed just another excuse to return to the unmatched Aman-i-Khás, it arrived with not one but four reasons. Following its annual seasonal closure, Aman-i-Khás reopened feeling refreshed and extended the same courtesy to guests with three new Grand Tented Pool Pavilions and one Tented Pool Pavilion, taking the camp’s total to 14. If there was ever a peaceful haven, it was Aman-i-Khás, and it only grew bigger and better.

The setting could not have been more serene. Perched on the edge of Ranthambore National Park, it sat amid a landscape of ancient forts, rural villages, and abundant wildlife that made it easy to live in the moment. Even the elusive Bengal tiger felt tantalizingly close, sometimes appearing like a shadowy rumor against the Aravalli Hills.

While the environment remained pristine, the camp’s new Pool Pavilions delivered a level of comfort that felt genuinely top-notch. The Grand Tented Pool Pavilion offered an ultra-private, all-tented wilderness escape with unrivaled space, spanning 2,755 sq ft. Each came with a temperature-controlled outdoor pool, an enclosed open-air sundeck, a generous king bedroom, twin writing desks, a sunken living area, indoor and outdoor dining setups, and a bath anchored by a corner tub, all tucked into the greenest pockets of nature.

That sense of grandeur was echoed by the Tented Pool Pavilion, which still felt impressively expansive at 1,770 sq ft. Here, luxury took the form of a private deck with a 3m x 3m plunge pool, made for unwinding on hot afternoons or simply stretching out and watching the stars claim the sky. Even when you retreated into your own cocoon of seclusion, the camp’s shared rituals brought a gentle sense of togetherness. Morning group yoga offered an easy reset before the day unfolded. The dimly lit, elegantly appointed Dining Tent set the tone for cozy meals as well as hearty group feasts, serving Indian and Western cuisine crafted with the choicest produce from the camp’s organic garden.

And when the day slowed down, the Lounge Tent delivered the rare pleasure of being lost in both nature and books. Designed as a serene retreat with a library, it invited calm reflection without distraction. While books soothed the mind, the Spa Tent was where the body exhaled. With twin massage tables set across two treatment spaces, it eased away tension until it felt like it never existed.

At the very heart of the camp, one space stood out as especially charming: a traditional step-well swimming pool framed by a shaded terrace and a central, sunken firepit. Some stories demand the right setting, and few places staged them better than Aman-i-Khás. Aman-i-Khás reopened on 1 October 2025; reservations are currently available online.
