The Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has for the fourth time been named the official hotel partner for Art Basel in Hong Kong and the hotel will celebrate with an art exhibition titled Surroundings & Influences that will be presented with Artshare.com at Clipper Lounge. Guests of the hotel can avail of a wide array of bespoke services including an exclusive stay, an art-inspired menu in the Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill + Bar, art-inspired treats at The Mandarin Cake Shop, cocktails at M bar and relaxing treatments at The Mandarin Spa.
Between 7 and 28 March, guests can enjoy a Surroundings & Influences Afternoon Tea created to accompany the exhibition by Executive Pastry Chef Yves Matthey. The tea will also be available at Café Causette.
Meanwhile, diners at the Mandarin Grill + Bar can sample Michelin starred chef Uwe Opocensky’s art-inspired three-course lunch and five-course dinner menu which will feature evocatively titled dishes such as Street Art, Paint Box and Art Excavation.
At the Mandarin Cake Shop, a selection of limited-edition chocolates and treats inspired by the artwork at Surroundings & Influences will delight those with a sweet tooth. Cocktail lovers can try the series of drinks inspired by the Insights, Discoveries, Encounters and Film sectors of Art Basel Hong Kong at M Bar.
The Mandarin Spa is offering a new Revive After Basel-ing Treatment that includes a foot ritual with scrub, followed by the application of rosemary, geranium and sweet orange gel and oil. A foot massage will relieve hot swollen while a relaxing scalp massage and a warming detoxifying foot mask conclude the treatment.
Finally, as the official hotel partner, the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is offering an Art Stay package that includes overnight accommodation in a luxurious room, access for two to Art Basel, an invitation to the Vernissage, access to the Collectors Lounge and invitations to a series of events, breakfast in-room or in Clipper Lounge or Café Causette, a welcome bottle of ‘R’ de Ruinart Champagne and an Art-inspired welcome tasty treat on arrival.
