Ritz-Carlton Vienna opens up as the brand’s 80th hotel

I always wished for a post retirement life in a city like Vienna, the sights and sounds of which have been described with magical words. But if you live in today, and want luxury to go with your stay in the city, then Ritz-Carlton is the way to go. Its foray into the Austrian capital comes through a 202 room property named the Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, located on the central Schubertring Boulevard. This is the 80th hotel in the luxury hotel company’ s portfolio and ninth property in the continent. It features four historic palaces that date back to the 19th century offering panoramic views of the beautiful city. And if you are there for a vacation, the location is ideal too, as the city’s museums, opera, concert halls and historic buildings are all just a stroll away.

So what can you expect within? Well, the hotel boasts of impressive interiors, including a marble staircase that takes you through decorative mural paintings, intricate wood carvings and panelling that have been carefully restored.
Coming to the staying option, the hotel features 43 suites and a spacious Presidential suite of rooms on the second floor. The Club Lounge is on the seventh floor and offers exclusive access to a private concierge service, a gastronomic food and beverage presentation all day and stunning views of the city.
The in-house restaurant Dstrikt, can be found on the ground floor and will plate up authentic Austrian cuisine by Chef Wini Brugger, made with locally grown produce. It also has its own summer terrace for a fun outdoor meal. Then there is the rooftop bar called Atmosphere, and the Melounge which is adjacent to the lobby offering traditional Viennese coffee and cake in the afternoon.
For business users, apart from meeting rooms, there is a 300 square metre Crystal Ballroom decorated with thousands of sparkling crystals, two permanent boardrooms and three function rooms with natural light and a Business Centre, all on the first floor.
For the fitness enthusiasts, you get access to an 18 metre indoor swimming pool, Fitness room, sauna and steam rooms. Plus there is the boutique Guerlain Spa that gives you six treatment rooms including two specially designed for couples.
