St. Regis New York ranks as the most expensive hotel in NYC

St. Regis pioneers the list of hotels in New York City to being the most expensive hotel, leaving behind Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and even The Ritz-Carlton Central Park, which follows closely. Although St. Regis New York shows nowhere on the list of the top 10 most expensive hotels in the world, and can neither compete with The Atholl in Scotland (that charges $1,600 per night for its cheapest suites), it’s certainly the most costliest in New York with an average pricing of $823, for a standard double room.

NewYorkHotels.org, who conducted the survey, monitored the hotel prices for the past 12 months and came up with the listings. The average pricing for a standard double room was taken as deciding factor to rank the most expensive hotel in the city. The study during the said period also brought up exciting facts that revealed most luxury hotels (in NYC) to be least expensive during July, “when they are close to 30% cheaper than they are in September”, confirms Danielle Carter from NewYorkHotels.org.

In the listings, mandarin oriental ranked second with average pricing of $814, Four Seasons – third with $765, and The Ritz-Carlton Central Park – fourth with $764.
