Bentley reveals a beautiful yellow diamond to mark 100 years of Bentley Motors

Bentley motors and Heinz Mayer – a renowned family-owned jewelry manufacturer recently came together to celebrate what happens to be the marquee’s 100-year centenary with a stunning diamond pendant featuring an awe-inspiring stone sourced from Africa. The jewelry piece was unveiled at the 2019 Jewelry Arabia Show in Bahrain and is spell-binding, to say the least!

Conceptualized by Bentley designer Chris Cooke, the pendant features a glorious gold and platinum setting along with the 20.08 carat pear-shaped fancy yellow diamond which gets its unusual color from the nitrogen molecules in its composition. It’s design is inspired by the Bentley ‘Wings’ and the stone itself is affixed in a cradle made of 18 karat yellow gold, further encrusted with 56 natural diamonds and a laser engraved insignia.

Commenting on the celebratory pendant, Cooke in a statement said, “The collaboration between Heinz Mayer and Bentley Motors showcases the pinnacle in handcrafted quality and design,” He further added, “For our centenary, we created a one of a kind jewelry piece pulling inspiration from the heart of the EXP 100 GT. The center piece in our concept car is an elegant visualization of the users contact point with the vehicle. With this jewelry piece we wanted to echo that.” What better way to mark 100 years of excellence than this!
