At Luxurylaunches, we love collaborations. They offer double the fun, double the creativity, and double the luxury quotient. What’s not to love about that? Tiffany & Co. has announced its latest collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, bringing to life the fictional creatures of Pokémon. The ‘Pokémon: The Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokémon’ capsule collection comprises everyday objects envisioned as archaeological discoveries from an imagined future.
Inspired by the art exhibition ‘A Ripple in Time’ that Arsham and Pokémon presented in February 2022, the range includes oxidized sterling silver pendants representing legendary Pokémon characters, such as Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone, Mew, and, of course, Pikachu.
The latter, being the most famous Pokémon, receives special treatment with 18K yellow gold pendants and necklaces, closely resembling Pikachu’s bright yellow fur. Another noteworthy piece in the collection is the station necklace featuring six Pokémon in oxidized sterling silver with diamond accents. ‘My latest collaboration with Tiffany & Co. is a combination of pop culture, fine jewelry, and art,’ Arsham conveyed to WWD.
‘Pokémon has had an immense presence ever since I was a child, and this capsule collection celebrates the influence Pokémon has had in my work and my longstanding partnership with a heritage brand like Tiffany & Co. Both are inextricable from the cultural footprint of the past, present, and future.’
The necklaces come housed in Tiffany Blue Poké Balls, while the oxidized sterling silver designs are packaged in a co-branded version of the Tiffany Blue Box. The Tiffany & Co. x Arsham Studio x Pokémon capsule collection, ranging from $1,290 to $29,000, will be available at the Tiffany & Co. Landmark in New York City, the Omotesando store in Tokyo, and on Tiffany.com in North America and Japan this December.
