Adidas Originals unveils its ‘Home of Classics’ collection of 10 timeless sneakers

Sneaker aficionados we’ve got news for you! Adidas Originals recently unveiled its to-die-for collection of sleek, stark white leather sneakers in its ‘Home of Classics’ collection and we simply can’t get enough. Paying tribute to some of its most timeless silhouettes, the classic footwear pack brings together 10 essential sneakers both, archival and contemporary into a single collection.

If you’re a sneaker collector of a certain vintage, some of the names from this collection ought to ring bell for you – the Superstar sneaker, the Stan Smith sneaker, the Supercourt sneaker, the Torsion Comp sneaker, the S.C. Premiere sneaker, the A.R. Trainer, the Continental 80 sneaker, the Nizza Hi RF sneaker, the Rivalry Lo sneaker, and finally, the Supercourt RX model are all reimagined in contemporary styles for this collection.

The new version of the Superstar sneaker features subtle changes but still largely stays true to the one of the brand’s most beloved silhouettes. Even this version of the original is all about keeping it clean and classic with its all-white construction and full leather lining.

The Stan Smith silhouette, as is already known, offers the world’s most timeless tennis silhouette.  It was first released in 1971 and worn by the tennis legend namesake himself. And even now the new version of the classic sneaker is fuss-free and all-white from its signature perforated stripes to its heel tab and tongue.

The Home of Classics Supercourt model merges numerous design elements from the archive with modern styles. And the Torsion Comp sneaker stays true to its retro roots. From perforated leather upper to EVA soles, everything about the nostalgic sneaker spells 90s chic.

The collection’s S.C. Premiere model offers a crisp, clean, multilayered silhouette while the A.R. Trainer shoe is another one that presents a 80s and 90s inspired retro look for modern times.

And if something relevant and versatile is what you’re looking for then the Home of Classics Nizza Hi RF sneaker 2.0 with its vulcanized rubber sole and embroidered 3-Stripe mark with a full white leather treatment is perfect for you.

Taking us back to the streets is this collection’s new and improved Rivalry Lo model. While the original version dates back to 1989 and is full of spunk, the model from the Home of Classics pack pares down the shoe’s aggressive ‘80s court aesthetic and features a tonal white palette and an off-white EVA sole. Perfect for today’s streets, we say.

And finally, rounding off this hallmark collection is the famous Supercourt RX whose contemporary avatar blends elements from the entire span of Adidas’ court archive.  Think classic white leather body, chalk white and raw white accents and a distinctive textured tongue.

As a collection as well as individually, each silhouette from the Home of Classics collection is a documentation of some of Adidas Originals’ most influential creations. Built for the court but still packed with comfort and style, these trademarks from the past have a firm place in our future. What about yours?

The Home of Classics Pack will be available on June 1st at shop.adidas.co.in
