You know you’ve reached peak Middle East when onlookers shoot video of a police car chase on the streets of Abu Dhabi — a Formula 3 race car versus three Police supercars including two Lamborghinis and a Ferrari — and everyone thinks it’s real.
The video that shows the F3 car screaming into a roundabout with the police supercars in pursuit, locking up the brakes, doing a donut and then shooting off down another side road had the internet in disbelief and wondering who the driver of the racecar was, what he did and why he was running. Well, the air has been cleared with another angle of the video which shows the camera car in one of the shots.

The whole stunt was part of filming for the Hollywood movie Now You See Me 3 starring Dave Franco, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher as part of the star-studded cast. The original cast returns to the silver screen for the heist movie sequel after a long wait. For many fans of the original, it’s almost as exciting as the footage of the car chase itself.
To be clear, while the Abu Dhabi police force does have a Lamborghini Huracan police cars, it’s not everyday that they’re employed in high speed pursuits through the city. The Abu Dhabi police’s Lykan Hypersport, though, is capable of 245mph thanks to its 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine.
