At this year’s Oscars, be prepared not just to be besotted with the glamorous stars that will walk down the red carpet but the stage as well. One look at the telecast stage revealed on Wednesday, and you will definitely agree with me. Designed by designer David Rockwell, the telecast stage this year is glamour personified. The stage features three revolving platforms, multiple rotating L.E.D. Panels, architecture metalwork, and mirrors. But the best feature is the quarter-moon curtain that is made of 100,000 Swarovski crystals! Sure to make the stage sparkle and shimmer like never before, this crystal-studded curtain promises to steal the show at this year’s event. Overall, the stage’s design is meant to cover all basic elements of moviemaking, light, and movement, etc.
Now let’s hope the show’s director, Hamish Hamilton, captures the stage from the right angle so viewers at home can be mesmerized by its breathtaking beauty.
