Forget mansions and penthouses, becoming Jeff Bezos’ neighbor comes with a $200 million price tag for just 1.8 acres of bare land, making it one of the most expensive plots in the United States

The opportunity to get close to centibillionaire Jeff Bezos is up for grabs, if you’re willing to splurge. The Amazon founder, currently the world’s second-richest man with a net worth of $240 billion, adds an aura of exclusivity to an already staggering offer: a vacant 1.8-acre lot on Miami’s prestigious Indian Creek Island priced at an eye-popping $200 million. Indian Creek Island, known as the “Billionaire’s Bunker,” is home to a select few ultra-wealthy residents, including Bezos, Ivanka Trump, and hedge fund mogul Ken Griffin.

This undeveloped waterfront plot may soon find itself joining the league of elite estates, should a buyer decide to embrace its jaw-dropping price tag. While its value is driven by its size and prime location, much of its appeal stems from its affluent neighbors. Wouldn’t the tech tycoon himself be tempted to expand his already impressive portfolio on the island? Bezos currently owns three adjacent properties, collectively valued at $237 million, located at 11, 12, and 28 Indian Creek Island Road, making the lot at 9 Indian Creek Island Road a naturally enticing addition.

Despite its sky-high price, the deal may not be as rigid as it seems. Ilya Reznik, the broker handling the sale, has revealed that the seller is open to negotiations. “I’ve already had a couple of showings, and obviously, the buyer will be a billionaire,” Reznik stated. He also noted that if the land sells for its asking price, it would likely set a record for the region, thanks in part to Bezos’ presence. “I think $200 million is a big number, but I’m confident that in the end, the buyer will pay a little extra because Bezos is a neighbor. Those prices just didn’t exist before he came to Indian Creek,” Reznik added.

The Indian Creek country club

The island’s exclusivity is further enhanced by its 41 homes, private golf course at the Indian Creek Country Club, and unparalleled security, including its own police force and marine patrol. While $200 million might seem excessive for an empty lot, it’s a premium price for a slice of life next to one of the world’s most iconic billionaires.
