While American singer and songwriter – Marilyn Manson may not be shining on the work front, he’s far from a low bank balance. Proof of it is his new purchase – a stunning Glendale home that the heavy metal artist recently purchased for $2.2 million. Yes, that’s right!
Inside the luxe residence:
Built in the 1960s and thereafter restored several times, the house features four bedrooms and three baths spread across two levels totaling just over 2,000 square feet of living space. The home opens via double front doors to a light-flooded living room with hardwood floors and a lava rock fireplace.
Other features include open-concept family and dining areas, a wooden balcony ideal for al fresco dining, and a fully renovated kitchen with Viking appliances, state-of-the-art cabinetry, and a custom quartz waterfall island.
Other details about the property:
The sprawling home features all four bedrooms on the second floor – each of which offer views of the surrounding ancient oaks. Several wooden terraces and patios are also open to nature around with the property accommodating a flat patch of grassy lawn located behind a stunning recording studio.
Manson is said to have purchased the mid-century home from songwriter Jeremy Ruzumna who bought it last year for $1.6 million. The latter then made refurbishments to the house and upgraded the detached two-car garage into a professional recording studio, complete with soundproof walls.
Manson’s career and subsequent downfall:
While tasting fame in his peak time, Manson who is now well in his 50s seems to have slowed down. He made it to the top list with his “Antichrist Superstar” and the subsequent “Mechanical Animals” albums back in the day but was also subjected to downfall recently.
In 2021, well-known actress Evan Rachel Wood and multiple other women accused him of sexual abuse. The singer himself also confessed that his career/bank balance was now ‘in the gutter’, however, his recent purchase clearly seems to tell another tale!
