An anonymous collector in Dubai ordered a $2.45 million Mercedes-AMG One hypercar in 2020. Over the years he did not drive it even for a single mile and is now selling the limited edition car for $5.45 million.

It’s been only a year since the very first production unit of the Mercedes-AMG ONE was delivered, and an example of the hypercar is already up for grabs. In fact, we won’t be surprised if the 2023 Mercedes-AMG ONE listed for sale by Dubai-based exotic car dealer F1rst Motors is the very first unit that the German automaker delivered. Both feature the same jet-black exterior finish contrasted with Petronas green accents. Moreover, Mercedes reportedly made customers sign a contract restricting them from selling the hypercar for a certain period of time after delivery, which could very well be 12 months.

According to the listing, the odometer of the Mercedes-AMG ONE that was ordered in 2020, reads zero, which is absolutely crazy. We’ve seen really low-mileage supercars on sale before, but this sure is a first. The hypercar has a matching black interior with lots of carbon fiber, Alcantara, and contrast stitching. Sadly, that’s pretty much all we know about this particular example.

The listing doesn’t provide any details about the car’s provenance. Nevertheless, it’s extremely surprising to find a zero-mileage example of one of the most technologically advanced cars ever produced this early after going into production. Maybe it was purchased with the sole intention of selling for a profit immediately after the contract expires.

The hypercar was initially unveiled as the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE concept at the 2017 International Motor Show in Germany. The production version was named One, to emphasize its connection to Formula 1. Designed for exceptional performance, the hybrid hypercar gets F1-derived technology, including the 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine directly lifted from the F1 W07 Hybrid, which won 16 out of 19 races in the 2015 season.

The V6 engine is assisted by four electric motors, giving the Mercedes-AMG ONE all-wheel drive and a total output of over 1000hp. It boasts a top speed exceeding 217 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 2.5 seconds. Mercedes never revealed the pricing of the hypercar, but it reportedly had a starting price of $2.75. The unit up for sale has an asking price that converts to $5.45 million, which is crazy!
