Experience luxury in the air without breaking the bank – Emirates Premium Economy is here

Flying Emirates is pleasurable for many reasons like exceptional service and operational excellence. We can now add ultimate comfort to that list as Emirates has revealed its premium economy cabin. Yes, it’s economy class in a 2-4-2 layout, but it’s as premium as premium gets. Picture this: reclining, comfortable seats that glisten in cream-colored anti-stain leather with stitching details and a wood panel that’s akin to the ones found looking sharp in business class. The seats personify comfort with up to 40″ of pitch, up to 19.5″ in width, and up to 8″ of recline as well as six-way adjustable headrest, calf rest, and footrest. As far as entertainment is concerned, it will be amply viewed on a 13.3″ HD screen featuring Emirates’ latest ICE entertainment system.. You can also stay on your phone the entire journey as every seat in the premium economy has in-seat charging points. Flyers can enjoy a hearty meal without feeling cramped as the seat boasts a wide dining table and a separate side cocktail table. While the premium economy is an all-new class for Emirates, no other major Gulf carrier has offered a premium economy cabin before. Premium economy cabins are situated at the front of the lower deck, with two dedicated lavatories with 56 seats in the new Emirates A380 aircraft.

Emirates will only begin selling premium economy around mid-2021 at the earliest and has five more A380s on order, all of which will include the new premium economy class. According to Tim Clark, President of Emirates, “Until we have a viable number of seats in our inventory to bring to market, we plan to offer the Emirates Premium Economy experience as a complimentary upgrade to valued customers. We’ll also deploy our newest A380 aircraft on various routes so that our customers can experience our latest offering in all classes.”
