If superyachts could sail all the way to space, they would look like the 311-foot Galaqsea concept yacht. Sturge & Toth have rendered both the interior and exterior, drawing inspiration from the vastness of space and the mystery of the galaxy. While the superyacht conforms to traditional seafaring norms, one standout feature deserves immediate attention: a striking vertical column of light that pierces the sky from the yacht’s highest point during evening arrivals or special events, transforming the vessel into a luminous maritime beacon. It is like announcing the arrival of a mystical entity rising from the deep blue waters, delivering mystique, magnificence, and theatrics to onlookers. If a superyacht isn’t supposed to be all this and more, then what is?
Inside, the owner and guests enjoy the luxurious experience one would naturally expect. Sixteen guests are accommodated across eight cabins and served by a crew of 31. They soak in sweeping sea views courtesy of 180-degree panoramic glazing stretching across the ship’s core. Views are equally uninterrupted at the water’s edge, which houses several wellness spaces. The beach club’s large fold-down shell doors extend the deck area and bring those on board even closer to the marine environment.
As is the case with most luxury vessels these days, the owner’s deck is the pièce de résistance on board Project Galaqsea as well. This sprawling sanctuary boasts an open-plan configuration, offering the owner a truly kingly milieu. Complete with private balconies, convertible social areas, and artisanal interior materials, these amenities make it a vessel any well-heeled individual with a penchant for pomp would love to own.

Galaqsea was no exception, and the chance to collaborate with Sturge & Toth made it all the more compelling.” If ever realized, the Galaqsea yacht would be powered by a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system with pods, delivering a targeted top speed of 16 knots.
