The $300 million superyacht that became the cynosure of Britain’s most exorbitant divorce is now listed with the mother of all discounts, a cool $83 million. And this is no ordinary yacht; the 377-foot Luna packs nine decks, a mini submarine, bulletproof windows, and generators powerful enough to supply a town of 25,000. Few yachts illustrate a complete reversal of fortune quite like Luna.
The Lloyd Werft yacht that once sat at the center of the bitter divorce ($640 million settlement in 2016) between Russian billionaire Farkhad Akhmedov and his ex-wife Tatiana Soroka is now scrambling for attention. The ship once saw a power couple battle it out across courts and jurisdictions, to the point of hiring former SBS operatives to seize the 377-footer. Now, fate has taken a very different turn.
Despite being listed since June 2025, there have been no takers, reported Boat International. So much so that the mighty and magnificent nine-decker now comes with a hefty $83 million discount after eight months on the market. The price has been reduced to almost $240 million.
Optimistically, the world’s second-largest expedition yacht is undergoing an extensive refit after a decade, in a bid to be delivered in prime condition to a lucky new owner. Inside, Luna sleeps 18 guests across nine cabins and dedicates an entire deck to the owner. At a massive 5,655 GT, she offers vast volumes to accommodate her many features and luxuries.
The owner’s deck is designed for both work and play, complete with a master suite, lounge, and office space. The bridge deck takes the business-meets-pleasure theme even further, featuring a large private office opposite a conference room, complemented by a saloon with sofa seating and formal dining for 18 guests, along with additional al fresco dining aft. Conducting business while lunching in the lap of luxury is very much part of life aboard Luna.
When it comes to relaxation, the experience is no less spectacular. A 12-by-five-meter pool flanked by sunpads anchors the outdoor spaces, while the yacht also boasts a dance floor, cinema, beauty salon, beach club, gym, and Jacuzzi. For the fitness-conscious, there is a dedicated gym area right by the water’s edge, as well as a fold-down balcony fitted with sun loungers for cooling down with uninterrupted sea views.
The motor yacht features two spacious garages designed to house two multipurpose, custom-made $4 million lifeboat-limousines, along with an array of other toys. Power comes from a diesel-electric propulsion system, giving Luna a cruising speed of 17 knots, a top speed of 22 knots, and an impressive range of 9,500 nautical miles.
Currently located in Hamburg, Germany, the floating goliath waits for an owner ready to sail away with a symbol of pure extravagance, no longer one of separation but of unapologetic excess, provided they have $240 million in hand.
