Germany-based tuning brand Mansory doesn’t always get it right, with sometimes over-the-top creations that appeal to a niche clientele. This Mansory G-Class convertible, created in collaboration with street artist and DJ Alec Monopoly, seems to be turning the tide in Mansory’s favor. Named the ‘AL3C MONO9O7Y’, this G-Class doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously, with an overabundance of Monopoly-themed motifs across the acres of carbon fiber body panels. Pricing on this limited-edition Mansory G-Class art car hasn’t been revealed, but expect it to be out of range for the average Monopoly fan.
With just 10 units slated for production, this convertible G-Class is special enough even without the artisan’s touches across the SUV. Each unit will be hand-painted by Alec Monopoly, with the artwork protected by several layers of clear coat so that your investment remains safe.
Monochrome 100 currency notes adorn the sides, with the Monopoly character Pennybags painted across the spare wheel cover at the rear. Surprise cameos from Scrooge McDuck and Richie Rich complete the comically rich theme. Splashes of paint liven up the signature Mansory forged carbon exterior panels.
Inside the Monopoly-theme G Wagon, bright aqua interiors with more game references really drive the point home. Everything from the seat belts to the seat cushioning plays along. Each of the 10 lucky customers will get to personalise their convertible G’s interiors further, presumably as long as it follows the theme.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Mansory build without more horsepower. The AMG 4.0-liter V8 now puts out a massive 820 horsepower, up from the standard car’s 585 horsepower. Accordingly, the 0-62mph time stands around four seconds with a limited 155mph top speed. That’s certainly quick enough to need all the get-out-of-jail free cards in the stack.
