Most football fans wear jerseys, this Miami influencer wrapped his $5 million Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport in Argentina’s colors to cheer Messi through the World Cup knockout rounds

Miami has seen its fair share of exotic metal cruising its streets, but nothing quite like this. Content creator and trader Bruno, known online as “El León” has wrapped his Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport in Argentina’s sky blue and white, complete with portraits of Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona, the AFA crest, and a nod to “La Scaloneta” splashed across the bodywork. The timing isn’t accidental. Argentina faces Cape Verde in Miami as the World Cup rolls into its knockout rounds, and Bruno wanted his car to do some cheering of its own.

Bruno’s owned it for barely two months, which makes wrapping a multimillion dollar hypercar within weeks of buying it either bold or slightly nuts. Possibly both. A job this intricate, with photo-realistic printed panels and precise alignment around all that carbon-fiber bodywork, likely ran well into five figures once design and labor are factored in. Considering the wrap will probably come off the car at the end of the World Cup, that’s a decent chunk of money down the drain. Or, it could be a worthwhile investment for someone who’s job probably benefits from all the exposure this wrap is getting him.

As for the car itself, the Pur Sport sits at the sharper end of the Chiron family tree, built for handling rather than flat out speed. Top speed is down to 217 mph from 261 mph on the standard Chiron. More importantly, Bugatti shaved about 110 pounds off the standard car by leaving out a lot of sound deadening, making for a more raw, unfiltered experience behind the wheel. It also stiffened the front springs by 65 percent, the rears by 33 percent, shortened the gearing by 15 percent, and topped it all with a massive rear wing. The resulting Pur Sport gets to 62 mph in 2.3 seconds, slightly quicker than a regular Chiron. Just 60 were ever built, and the first customer car wasn’t delivered until January 2021.

Bugatti, notably, has never published an official Nürburgring lap time for it, choosing instead to let the car’s reputation do the talking. The scarcity keeps resale strong. A 2022 example with barely 5,000 miles carried a window sticker north of $4 million before options, and Bruno’s own valuation of $5-6 million tracks with where Pur Sports have landed in the current US market.

As for the man behind the wheel, Bruno trades for a living and has built a following documenting that world alongside his taste in cars. He’s been candid about starting with nothing and eating losses in his early years before things clicked. It’s the classic finance-bro arc, except most finance bros don’t celebrate a good year by wrapping a car that costs more than most houses in full national colors.
