Phathom Design has released ‘phantastic’ renderings of its latest 60-meter (196-feet) Phathom superyacht concept, which will make you want to live on the high seas forever. This sprightly and stylish version comes as the teenier sibling of the Dutch studio’s 2019 80-meter debut concept. Yes, the size is smaller but in no way is the yacht robbing from the stunning features of the sea-farer. The Phantom 60m impress onlookers with a luxury loft-style open plan living and a three-story glass atrium. Without a doubt, the atrium is the highlight of the vessel that commences on the main deck and extends upwards to the sundeck, where it is roofed in glass. Owing to the all-glass atrium, the decks enjoy abundant natural light a sense of space and leave the atmosphere feeling airy.
The same treatment is spotted on the floating staircase that also uses glass abundantly. The sundeck looks mesmerizing with a structural glass floor. The owner’s suite is decked with massive windows and a glass balcony that looks down onto a lounge area and study below, facing to the fore over a private terrace and pool. The sundeck is the address to relax and unwind at the alfresco galley. It also houses a panoramic gym or spa. Underfoot, a structural glass floor doubles as a skylight at the top of the central atrium. The four decks of the motor yacht are utilized in several lounges and dining options along with balconies.
The yacht goes beyond beautiful by making maximum use of the room on board. The Phantom 60m yacht’s beach club is equipped to house a tender, and the swimming pool can turn into an additional tender when it’s underway and not in use. “This concept began with an interested client who requested to see the Phathom 80m scaled down to a length of 60m. Like her larger predecessor, the 60m benefits from an unconventional layout, sharing some similar features while offering a new level of onboard enjoyment. This is most notable in the transforming pool deck having an industry-first beach club adjoining pool that encourages interaction between swimmers and guests seeking shade,” shared the designers.
They added, “In keeping with the ethos of the 80m, the 60m boasts an open-concept two-level owner’s apartment with upper-level sleeping area, lower-level lounge and study, all with breath-taking forward-facing views of the private foredeck with protected pool. Automotive and dynamic, the 60m’s exterior styling stands apart with its interweaving of glass and superstructure elements to impress without overbearing on its surroundings.”
