Italian designer Giorgio Pidalà is hitting two birds with one stone with the 223-foot Fluctus yacht. He achieves a futuristic silhouette inspired by space exploration and leverages technology by sheathing the superyacht with solar panels to promote CO₂ reduction. The result is an enigmatic and impressive luxury vessel that first captures attention with an elongated bow and then surprises with a superbly crafted space: the owner’s deck.
Pidalà added that “all these design aspects come together through the concept of aerodynamics” and that Fluctus has been designed to “maximize connection with the surrounding environment.”
The concept surely resonates with those seeking majestic minimalism, enhanced by lavish additions like a swimming pool placed strategically in the middle of the owner’s suite, or a spiral staircase made entirely of glass. The owner’s deck also boasts a walk-in closet, a lounge, and a bar area. Fluctus accommodates 10 guests in 5 cabins, offering exceptional sea views from every room. There is plenty to do aboard the spaceship-inspired boat besides enjoying uninterrupted sunsets.
One can connect with their inner self in the tranquil environment of the yoga and fitness area on the main deck, engage in conversations in the lounges, or get some work done in the dedicated workspace. The lower deck is an action-packed space featuring another swimming pool, a bar, and sun loungers.
Additionally, there are rooms dedicated to steam and hydrotherapy, as well as a side-loading tender garage, as reported by Boat International. For those who love to revisit their childhood every once in a while, Fluctus flaunts an indoor video game room.
