The largest ever mega yacht to come out of Asia called the “Illusion Plus” was recently unveiled at the Port of Yantai, Shandong Province. Built by Pride Mega Yachts in China, Illusion Plus measures 88.5 meters long and 15.4 meters wide; it should be noted that less than 100 yachts exist in the world that measure more than 80 meters. The mega yacht was created in collaboration with world-leading consultants and designers, including Rainsford Mann Design for the exterior and Sinot Yacht Design for the interior. The owner configured the luxury yacht to have 7 cabins in total, which consists of a master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. It can comfortably accommodate 12 guests overnight and carry a crew of 25.
Illusion Plus features a displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure, with teak decks. The luxury boat is also fitted with ‘zero speed stabilizers’ which work at anchor, adding on-board comfort when it is stationary, particularly in rough waters. Amenities include a touch-n-go helipad, gym, Jacuzzi on deck, elevator, swimming pool, movie theatre and barbeque. Roughly 2 million man hours were put into building the Illusion Plus. The mega yacht is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Marine diesel-electric engines that produce a total of 3000hp. It gives the luxury boat a top speed of 16 knots and cursing speed of 14 knots. The boat was recently delivered to the owner and is now on its way to Monaco.
