The worlds largest private superyacht will be 270 meters long and will come with an indoor pool, nightclub, inflatable marina, two helicopters and a lot more.

Famous naval designer and architect Espen Øino has revealed fresh design renderings 282-meter vessel which is billed as the “world’s largest private superyacht” and “the next generation of luxury superyachts.” Called the Njord after the god of the seas and winds of Norse mythology, the luxury superyacht also doubles as a research vessel. It will be equipped to undertake scientific and oceanographic missions during its voyages. However, the Njord only exists as a design project and a concept; the designer believes a 2024 delivery date could be possible and is currently on the lookout for a shipyard that can undertake the project.

The massive luxury vessel features 12 decks and 118 private residences, which will be available for sale. Buyers will get to choose from a range of two to six-bedroom apartments spread across 116 to 800 square meters. These residential units can be customized to 20 different configurations and will feature a living room with sea views and access to open terraces. In addition to that, the vessel also has room for 16 guest and butler suites. Amenities on offer for its guests include an inflatable marina with foldout platforms at the stern, a central seawater swimming pool, two other outdoor pools, an indoor hydro pool, various wellness facilities, a nightclub, and jazz lounge, and much more. In terms of toys onboard the Njord, the superyacht will come with underwater drones, submersibles, and even two Airbus ACH 160 helicopters with a range of 400 nautical miles. Let’s hope the project sees the light of day and revolutionizes the yachting industry.
