These are the 10 biggest superyachts at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show

The Monaco Yacht Show is considered the most exclusive superyacht show in the world, and 2023 did not disappoint. Set around Monaco’s iconic Port Hercules, the event showcased some of the world’s largest superyachts alongside best-in-class superyacht service providers and luxury lifestyle goods befitting of the superyacht world.

Guests had the opportunity to meet with service providers from across the yachting industry, including luxury boatbuilders, crew recruiters, yacht designers and naval architects, yacht marketing specialists, and the world’s leading yacht brokerages, such as Northrop & Johnson.

But which yachts reigned supreme at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show? Here, we look at some of the largest head-turning vessels

1 – M/Y CARINTHIA VII – brokerage MYS yacht
The 97.2-metre charter yacht CARINTHIA VII is one of the world’s largest charter vessels and was the biggest superyacht exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023. This floating masterpiece was built by the European shipbuilder Lurssen and launched in 2002. Often regarded as one of Lurssen’s most iconic superyachts, CARINTHIA VII is a timeless icon with a striking profile that stands the test of time.

Fresh from her recent refit, she is now one of the world’s most elegant charter vessels, offering unparalleled comfort and privacy. Her many features include an air-conditioned fitness suite, a generous outdoor living area with a teppanyaki bar, a winter garden on the bridge deck aft with a large cinema screen, an impressive swimming pool, and a full-service spa and wellness area, including a hammam and beauty salon.

2 – LADY LARA – brokerage MYS yacht
AT 91 metres, the bespoke ultra-modern 2015 LADY LARA mega yacht was one of the biggest yachts at this year’s show. Built by Lurssen and delivered in 2015, this refined luxury yacht for sale boasts sweeping curves and an elegantly balanced profile. This aesthetic is carried through to her Reymond Langton-designed interiors.

Fresh from a recent refit where she underwent a full repaint and technical upgrades, she offers her new owner a host of onboard amenities including a treatment room and beauty salon, two pools (one with a swim-up bar), a gym, a cinema, a wellness centre with hammam, and a touch and go helipad. 3 – PHOENIX 2 – brokerage MYS yacht
PHOENIX 2 is an ultra-luxurious superyacht built by Lurssen in 2010 and fully refitted in 2019. At 90.1-metres, she was one of the largest Monaco yacht show superyachts. This exquisite luxury yacht for sale dazzles both inside and out with a stylish blue hull and white superstructure and elegant Art Deco interiors inspired by the New York skyline, offering spaces designed for entertaining.

Just some of her many highlights include a main deck ballroom with a gilt-and-black lacquer Steinway piano, a grand dining table with a dazzling crystal chandelier overhead, a dedicated sommelier room, a winter garden, and a Jacuzzi lounge. Other amenities include a fully equipped gym, two touch-and-go helicopter platforms, indoor and outdoor cinemas, and a beauty salon. She boasts a stunning full-beam owner’s suite, two VIP staterooms, three double cabins, and a twin berth cabin.

4 – S/Y NERO – brokerage MYS yacht
The 90.1-metre sailing yacht NERO is marketed as the most head-turning yacht on the planet, and she certainly stood out at the Monaco Yacht Show thanks to her classic elegance that embodies yachting’s golden age. She was launched in 2007 by Corsair Yachts, China, and extensively refitted in 2021.

NERO is now one of the world’s most luxurious charter yachts, boasting a raft of onboard amenities, including a sun deck gym, a 5.7-metre resistance swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a luxury spa and beauty salon, a spectacular owner’s duplex suite with his and hers bathrooms, an observation lounge cinema, a superb selection of tenders and water toys, and zero-speed stabilisers.

5 – M/Y SAVANNAH – brokerage MYS yacht
The sleek 83.5-metre M/Y SAVANNAH showcased the yacht industry’s sustainable future at the 2023 Monaco superyacht show, a pioneering hybrid vessel that boasts fuel economies of 30%. Built by Feadship in 2015, SAVANNAH was the Dutch yard’s first eco-friendly motor yacht. Her head-turning exterior was penned by Studio De Voogt / CG Design, while her naval architecture is courtesy of Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects.

As one of the world’s most striking and pioneering vessels, SAVANNAH has garnered many awards, including the prestigious Motor Yacht of the Year at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards. One of her most striking features is her unique underwater lounge, located on the port subdeck aft.

6 – M/Y LEONA – brokerage MYS yacht
Built by Bilgin Yachts, the 80-metre M/Y LEONA commanded attention at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show with her striking red hull, snow-white superstructure, and svelte profile.

Built by the Turkish shipbuilder Bilgin Yachts in 2023, she is the second hull from the shipyard’s Bilgin 263 series. Her eye-catching exterior design is courtesy of Antalya-based Unique Yacht Design, while her interiors were brought to life by H2 Yacht Design. Her lavish, gold-toned interiors are second to none, with luxurious materials and finishes that exude opulence. Highlights include a hookah bar, a piano room, a cinema, an indoor swimming pool, and a hairdresser.

7 – O’REA – new MYS yacht
The 78-metre O’REA was not only one of the largest Monaco Yacht Show yachts but also one of the newest, making her global debut at the show. Currently listed for charter, O’REA was built by the Greek shipyard Golden Yachts and delivered in 2023.

She offers refined onboard amenities and incredible attention to detail. Her contemporary styling, plumb bow, and trapezium-shaped windows ensures a striking profile that is mirrored by her eye-catching interiors, which feature rich materials and precious stones. 8 – KENSHO – brokerage MYS yacht
The award-winning 75-metre superyacht KENSHO, with her shimmering metallic blue-green hull and bulbous reverse bow, made a bold and eye-catching addition at the Monaco Superyacht Show. Built in 2022 by Admiral Yachts, part of the Italian Sea Group, this luxury charter vessel takes living at sea to the next level.

KENSHO’s build was commissioned by an ambitious owner who wished to challenge the status quo and integrate smart design into the very fabric of the vessel. Her naval architecture is by the Dutch firm Azure, who collaborated with the Berlin-based archineers.berlin to pen her dynamic and beautifully smooth exterior. The yacht’s exterior organic lines are mirrored by her contemporary interiors, designed to create a relaxing, interconnected space conducive to good living.

Her many onboard amenities mirror the world’s finest charter yachts, including a glass-fronted swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness suite, a swim platform, and an abundance of water toys.

9 – FORCE BLUE – brokerage MYS yacht
Charter yacht FORCE BLUE is a 71-metre superyacht designed to create memories that will last a lifetime. As one of the largest superyachts at the Monaco Yacht Show, she garnered significant attention from charterers interested in exploring the best vessels on which to enjoy a luxury getaway on the water.

FORCE BLUE was built by Royal Denship in 2002 and underwent a significant refit in 2022 following a change of ownership. This included an extension to her aft, creating an exceptional open lounging and sunbathing area at sea level. She boasts one of the largest spas on a charter yacht, a professional DJ station with disco lighting on the bridge deck, a cinema, a fully equipped gym, and a superb selection of water toys. With the ability to welcome up to 60 seated guests and 350 guests for events quayside, she is the ultimate party yacht.

10 DRIZZLE – brokerage MYS yacht
The 68.7-metre motor yacht DRIZZLE was among the largest Monaco Yacht Show yachts. Built by Feadship in 2012 for an experienced owner, this pedigree yacht offers refined onboard amenities, roomy interiors, and exceptional comfort.

Highlights include three distinct exterior lounge areas designed to maximise time on the water, with cushioned sun loungers and oversized sun beds, a gym, a large swim platform, luxurious staterooms, and an oversized tender garage housing two tenders and a host of water toys, including a jellyfish pool.
