Tracy Morgan crashes $2 Million Bugatti Veyron moments after driving it off the showroom floor

Have you ever noticed how extra cautious most of us become while driving a brand new car off the showroom for the very first time? Well, the panic every time a distracted fool comes close to your car is justified; after all, no one wants the ownership experience of a brand spanking new car to be ruined on the very first day. However, for American actor and comedian Tracy Morgan, it was one of the really unlucky days when everything had to go wrong. Less than an hour after buying a pre-owned 2012 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport worth more than $2 million from a dealership in Manhattan on Tuesday, Morgan was side-swiped by a Honda CR-V, destroying the Bugatti’s driver side three-quarter panel. The incident happened when Morgan was cruising westbound on 42nd Street and preparing to make a legal left turn onto 10th Avenue and a woman driving the Honda SUV attempted to make a right turn from the left lane.

As the incident involved a high-profile celebrity driving a multi-million dollar hypercar, pictures and videos of the accident flooded the internet in no time. A witness commented the driver of the CR-V was on her phone while making the right turn and should be blamed for the crash. However, according to PageSix.com, the woman was not charged by NYPD. “When I got the phone call, I said, ‘That’s Tracy’s car?’ I couldn’t believe it. That was its maiden voyage,” Frank Pica, a sales consultant at Manhattan Motorcars, commented. “He bought it today. That style with the top down is usually over two million dollars. Those kinds of cars are very rare and to get any year is special.” Thankfully, no one was hurt in the accident, except for the Bugatti. Morgan also took to Twitter to confirm that he’s doing alright, but is still upset about the snafu involving his new ride.
