It’s safe to say one Uber driver in Berlin just racked up his most expensive fare when he T-boned a Ferrari 488 Pista pulling out of a gas station. According to police reports, the driver of the Uber lost control and collided with the track-bred supercar just moments after the Ferrari had refueled. While the occupants of both cars are said to have not suffered any injuries, both cars suffered significant damage. The Ferrari 488 Pista costs a little more than $350,000 when new, used examples can go as high as $600,000.

The damage to the supercar looks limited to the front end going by the pictures on Bild, with the fender, bumper, and hood on the limited-production 488 Pista bearing the brunt of the impact. How expensive could a crash be, then? Well, a front bumper for a 488 Pista costs over $14,000, a carbon-fiber hood costs about $8,000, and a fender around $3,000. That’s over $25,000 just in the parts we know for sure need replacement. Damage to components and parts beneath the body panels could rack up quickly.

We just hope the insurance company doesn’t choose to write off this 710 horsepower, V8-powered Ferrari that signaled the end of the line for the 488 model — it’s already considered by many to be a classic in the making.
