Airbnb to introduce luxury Apartment-Style suites at New York’s iconic Rockefeller Plaza

Experimentation and Expansion are the two key-words for any business. Swearing by this and acting upon it is home sharing app-Airbnb that recently acquired HotelTonight and marked its foray into the world of hotel spaces. Building on the same, the brand is now set to unveil new apartment-styled suites at the iconic Manhattan landmark- the Rockefeller plaza is association with New York Realty giant- RXR Realty.

The move has been initiated keeping in mind the app’s growing business traveler base that seeks more extended stays and authentic city experiences. Located at 75 Rockefeller Plaza, the project will encompass 32 storeys and will provide soaring views of the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Empire State Building, and, seasonally, the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink and Christmas tree. Furthermore, the new Airbnb will be located merely one block from the famous Radio City Music Hall and only four blocks from the Museum of Modern Art.

Commenting on the ambitious project, Liz DeBold Fusco, a spokesperson for Airbnb said, “We consider this to be a new category of urban lodging. We are really trying to create all the comforts of home and the authentic, local feel of an Airbnb listing, but with more of a luxury setting.” The exclusive property will also accommodate meeting and events spaces, collaborative working zones, and a common area, as well as a new restaurant and a lobby-adjacent bar. Your pad for the next New York trip is about ready!
