Debuting in 2016, Regent Seven Seas’ newest cruise ship- the Seven Seas Explorer is all set to create a splash. Regent has dubbed it “the most luxurious ship ever built” and at 56,000-tonnes carrying just 750 guests, it will have the highest space ration in the cruise industry. The ship will also boast a theatre, two lounges and three elegant restaurants.
The ships main talking point will be the extravagant Regent Suite, which at $5,000 per person per night is slated to be one of the most expensive cruise suites ever offered. This jewel in the crown of the Seven Seas Explorer will be a two-bedroom, 3,875-square foot suite featuring some seriously posh additions including an in-room spa retreat with a personal sauna, steam room and treatment area. The suite will also boast an outdoor, glass-enclosed sitting area titled the Vista Garden. Here guests can enjoy magnificent, unobstructed 270-degree views over the ship’s bow and toward the horizon, talk about a room with a view!
Cruise specialist and owner of Cruise Planners-American Express, Julie Osinski, said she expects the Regent Suite to be a big hit and does not think the price point will scare off cruise enthusiasts. “I think we’re going to have the opposite problem,” she said. “I’m anticipating having clients call, and what I’ll be looking for is not even the itinerary so much as trying to find time with the suite available.”
2016 seems far away right now, but this palatial suite will certainly be worth the wait!
