Travel bugs- here’s an interesting read for you! A study has compiled the top cities in the world for the year 2022 and here are the results! While Paris unsurprisingly took the first spot, it was followed by Dubai and Amsterdam on second and third spot respectively. The data is part of Euromonitor International’s Top 100 City Destinations ranking. It was achieved after comparing 57 metrics across six ‘key pillars’ – economic and business performance; tourism performance; tourism infrastructure; tourism policy and attractiveness; health and safety; and sustainability.
The final report was published in collaboration with data intelligence company Transparent Intelligence and has once again brought forth interesting stats for travelers. Apart from the top three, the other cities on the list included Rome (5th), London (6th), Munich (7th), Berlin (8th), Barcelona (9th), and New York (10th) which also doubled as America’s top-ranked city.
As per the results, European destinations performed better than those in other countries to which Euromonitor said – “The good standing of European destinations in the Index is largely attributable to two important pillars – tourism policy and attractiveness and tourism infrastructure.”
