Richard Mille revealed the new limited-edition RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic watch that’s finished in a sporty color combination of green and white

The biennial Le Mans Classic vintage sports car event will finally return in July of 2022 after being canceled in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The motoring event celebrates the rich history of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. It offers its visitors a unique opportunity to witness the gathering of some of the greatest racing cars ever made. To mark its return, the event’s title sponsor Richard Mille has revealed a limited edition watch that sports the green and white colors of the event.

The Richard Mille RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic, as the name suggests, is based on the watchmaker’s RM 029 timepiece. It is the 8th Le Mans Classic special edition created by Richard Mille, which has sponsored the Le Mans Classic since it launched in 2002. The tonneau-shaped case is made from green and white Quartz TPT, which gives the watch a very sporty look. The proprietary material is not only very lightweight but also is impact-resistant. The crown and the skeletonized dial get bright orange accents that contrast the green and white theme of the watch.

The skeletonized dial features an oversized date window at the four o’clock position, a 24-hour counter, and the event’s logo, along with providing a view of the grade 5 titanium caliber RMAS7 automatic movement. The automatic movement offers a power reserve of 55 hours. The sporty watch is paired with Richard Mille’s signature rubber strap in a matching white colorway. Only 150 examples of the Richard Mille RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic will be made and is available now via the brand’s official website and official dealers.
