At $460k, the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is for those who want to hear the V12’s roar

Lamborghini has rolled out the roadster version of its Aventador S model at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The Aventador S Roadster features the same naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 as its coupe sibling, and it churns out the same 729 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque. But the roadster weighs 110 pounds more than the fixed-roof version which comes from the reinforcements added to make the chassis more riding. That makes it a tenth slower in the 0-62mph sprint time which comes in at flat 3 seconds; however, the top speed remains unchanged at 217mph.

The Aventador S Roadster also comes with four-wheel drive, a new steering system, and an updated active suspension. In addition to that, the supercar also features active rear steering which improves stability at speed. As for the price, the 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster will only set you back $460,247 – and that’s just the base price without any optional extras.
