Luxury Champagne brand Dom Pérignon and Auctionata are teaming up for their very first their first joint online auction named “La Malle Plénitude by Dom Pérignon”. All the action is set to take place on December 10, 2016, at www.auctionata.com. Five never-before-seen ‘Malle Plénitude’ trunks will go under the hammer and each one includes a collection of 23 meticulously chosen bottles of Dom Pérignon Vintage, P2 and P3. The live-streamed auction show will feature Dom Pérignon’s Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy and Auctionata’s Chief Innovation Officer and auctioneer Alexander Gilkes.
The auction may be 10 days away but bidding is already in full swing! You can place a bid in advance by heading to the Auctionata website or you can wait for auction day to be a part of all the action. Each of the ‘Malle Plénitude’ trunks up for grabs includes 23 bottles filled between 1969 and 2006 and personally selected by Richard Geoffroy. The selection comprises ten bottles of Dom Pérignon Vintage, ten bottles of Dom Pérignon P2, and three bottles of Dom Pérignon P3 all released over the last 15 years.
Only six ‘Malle Plénitudes’ are to be produced of which five will be offered in this auction, while Dom Pérignon will retain a prototype. All ‘Plénitude’ trunks will be made-to-order which means that each buyer will be able to customize the design of his numbered trunk by choosing from a variety of finest leather types, interior linings, and engravings. The winning bidders will also receive a personal invitation to experience the singular universe of Dom Pérignon through an exclusive visit to the winery’s historic abbey and cellar in Hautvillers, France, which is normally closed to the public.
