After the wedding of the century, that put the Oscars to shame—with two pre-wedding events followed by a magnum opus of nuptials costing $600 million—the couple at the center of it all is finally getting some time off. The son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, and his wife, Radhika Merchant, are holidaying in the proverbial paradise of Central America. After a stellar six-day wedding celebration, they are now relaxing in Costa Rica.
According to a report in the local Tico Times, they arrived in Costa Rica on August 1st for their honeymoon and, in true billionaire style, checked into a $30,000 suite at Casa Las Olas, a Four Seasons Resort.
If anyone deserves this pricey respite, it’s the couple who have been all smiles during a three-day event in Jamnagar, in the western Indian state of Gujarat, followed by a three-day cruise extravaganza. Their July wedding in Mumbai was a larger-than-life gathering that witnessed the biggest names from the worlds of glamour, business, politics, and more.
Now, the newlyweds are enjoying peace in the picturesque region of Guanacaste. This exclusive retreat is renowned for its lavish amenities and stunning surroundings. The couple’s $30,000 Casa Las Olas Six-Bedroom Residence is a bi-level space that allows its guests to make the most of both indoor and outdoor living.
They can enjoy sunsets from a sunken tropical courtyard dotted with large palm trees. The suite also features a state-of-the-art media room, gym, and an expansive outdoor entertaining area, with the highlight being a sprawling 100-foot swimming pool.
The luxurious space is perfect for 12 people but is currently occupied by the two lovebirds from India’s most illustrious family, worth $111 billion. This serene setting offers them ample space, much like their Mumbai residence, the $5 billion tower Antilia. While their resort may not boast a snow room or jogging track, it does feature a chef’s kitchen and unparalleled views of the turquoise sea.
