After months of lavish pre-wedding festivities, Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia’s richest man, finally married Radhika Merchant in Mumbai, India, last Friday. The starry guest list for the extravagant multi-day nuptials featured some of the biggest world leaders and celebrities, including Kim and Khloé Kardashian, former British prime ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, and hundreds of other A-listers. Every single detail of the star-studded wedding screamed excess, including the car used by the groom on his special day. Instagram has been flooded with pictures and videos of the billionaire scion’s orange-colored Rolls Royce Cullinan completely decked out with ornate decorations.
While Anant received a brand new Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge finished in a very rare shade called Pebble Paradiso last month, he chose to be driven to the wedding venue in his trusted orange Cullinan.
In fact, the 29-year-old loves the luxury SUV so much that he used a near-identical Cullinan Black Badge in Dubai a few months back while shopping for his wedding. Adorning wedding cars with flowers is a common custom in India.
But the Ambanis, in their typical fashion, went over the top with the decoration. The Rolls-Royce SUV appears to be completely wrapped in a mesh-like sheet along with vibrant flowers. It’s hard to say if the decorative cover is made out of fabric or something else. However, we won’t be surprised if it’s made out of silver.
Nevertheless, it’s the most decorated Rolls-Royce we’ve ever seen, although the embellishment might not be to everyone’s taste. In the videos, the Ambani family can be seen traveling in a big convoy. Right behind the matte orange Cullinan, a Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII EWB finished in a classy Rose Quartz color can be spotted. The heavily customized Rolls-Royce Phantom was given as a gift by Mukesh Ambani, the 11th richest man on this planet, to his wife, Nita Ambani. The convoy also included another Cullinan along with several Mercedes-AMG G63 security vehicles, all decorated with bright flowers.
If you think Anant’s bedecked Cullinan is special, there are rumors that he received a gold-plated Dartz SUV worth $1.6 million as a wedding present.
