The new year, 2019, is here and naturally our first order of business as a society of human beings is to say “challenge accepted” to a new social media challenge.
The #10YearChallenge is a trending hashtag, which has made an appearance on various social media platforms, encouraging users to post a photo of themselves today, side by side with one of themselves from 10 years ago.
Celebrities have answered the challenge with vigour – so let’s check out some of our favourites.
From those who take the challenge seriously …
1. Jessica Biel
Besides the hair and a slightly slimmer face, actress Jessica Biel looks identical to herself 10 years ago. With genetics from both Biel and Justin Timberlake, the future looks bright for their children.
2. Mark Ruffalo
Oh Mark Ruffalo. Playing the Hulk, smashing his way through New York, must have been stressful, because his hair definitely shows signs of age. He’s still a silver fox though.
3. Tyra Banks
Wrinkles? Nope. Saggy skin? Nope. Her “smize”? 100 watts. She was supermodel Tyra Banks 10 years ago and she’s still supermodel Tyra Banks today.

They took it a step further and made it a #30YearChallenge. Although the changes in 30 years are evident, you can still see the similar boyish features on both their faces.
5. Caitlyn Jenner
Probably the biggest #10YearChallenge response we will see from a celebrity. Enough said.
6. Elizabeth Banks
If time travel were a possibility, actress Elizabeth Banks may be the one who’s hiding that secret. Is it possible to look younger now than you did 10 years ago?

7. Brie Larson
Where most photos show stars in similar poses as their 10-years-ago selves, actress Brie Larson has chosen to eat pizza in her recent picture. Well, who can blame her? Pizza is amazing.
8. Sarah Silverman
Being the comedian that she is, Sarah Silverman decided to post a duplicate photo to indicate how much she has (not) changed over the past 10 years.
9. Justin Baldoni
Famously known for his role in romantic comedy television series Jane the Virgin, actor Justin Baldoni posted a photo of himself side-by-side with Cole Sprouse of teen drama Riverdale – with both looking gorgeous of course. Cole’s hilarious response to the joke was a snappy “Glad to know I finally get facial hair.”
10. Armin Van Buuren
They may look alike, but unless the Dutch DJ is suddenly a British chef, that’s Gordon Ramsay.
