From the heat to waiting for their boats to shuttle them from one party to the next, it wasn’t as seamless as one would imagine a multi-million-dollar celebration to be.

According to the portal, reports alleged that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding was nothing short of luxurious, except that guests had to handle their own minibar charges. Shuter Scoop exclusively revealed that attendees at the couple’s lavish three-day Venetian wedding were quietly asked to provide personal credit cards at check-in to cover minibar expenses.
It’s an odd request when you’re attending the wedding of the world’s fourth-richest man, worth about $236 billion. With so many events packed into three days, one might expect the hosts to shower their guests with snacks and refreshments in between. Fortunately, the invitees were millionaires and billionaires who wouldn’t mind paying for peanuts, but they shouldn’t have to.
Typically, the Aman Venice minibar is stocked with San Pellegrino Aranciata or Limonata, Coke Zero, tonic water, two or three bottles of Italian craft beer, Venchi chocolate bars, Baci pralines, and Venetian butter cookies. The contents total roughly $150, chump change for the tech tycoon. It isn’t an expense he can’t afford to pay, so why won’t the billionaire cover his guests’ minibar raids if he’s booking rooms that start around $1,500 per night? Perhaps, for Bezos’s sake, the rumor isn’t true at all.
