Centibillionaire Mark Zuckerberg is on fire to win all the awards for husband of the decade. In a recent Instagram post, the Meta boss shared a video of himself transforming into a singer for the mother of his three daughters, Priscilla Chan. He went all out to win her heart with his tunes and even roped in T-Pain, with whom the 40-year-old has forged an unlikely friendship over the years. The occasion was the power couple’s dating anniversary.

As the Facebook founder revealed in the post, “‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary. This year, I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track, also available on Spotify. Love you, P.”

Zuckerberg adding his own lyrics to the Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz song, which played 20 years ago when he first met Chan, is top-tier husband material. Ask any woman, this sweet gesture surpasses the Daniel Arsham statue depicting Chan as a goddess that he commissioned, or the disco-themed parties and even the modified Porsches he gifted to the love of his life. When it comes to matters of the heart, the world’s third-richest man, worth $200 billion, has been exceptionally fortunate. He took to social media to share Chan’s reaction in a series of stories, asking his wife, “Is it the most romantic thing I’ve done?” She replied, “It’s so romantic,” adding that the song “brings back a lot of fun memories” from almost two decades ago.

The tech billionaire first met Chan, then 19, at Harvard University in 2003, where they were both students. Their conversation started while standing in a bathroom line at a farewell party. Recalling their early days, Zuckerberg shared, “20 years since our first date. We met at a going-away party my friends threw for me in college when they thought I was about to get kicked out of school. I asked her out but told her we’d need to go out soon since I might only have a few days left. Later on, I started Facebook, we got married, and now we have three wonderful girls. What a wild ride.”

Up until recently, Zuckerberg and Chan maintained a very private life (the man once constructed a six-foot wall around his property for peace and privacy) and married in a simple ceremony in 2012. Their nuptials were so understated that guests mistook the event for a celebration of Chan’s graduation from UCSF Medical School. Since then, the couple has come a long way, becoming much more open about their life together.

Zuckerberg’s association with T-Pain

T-Pain and Zuckerberg became friends in 2021 when the Meta CEO offered to help the rapper tackle issues with his Instagram DMs. Their first public interaction was a live video call, where they discussed the platform’s features and potential improvements. An unlikely friendship, but one that blossomed into something truly unique.

In July this year, T-Pain gifted Zuckerberg a custom Nappy Boy Meta chain, featuring the Meta logo alongside T-Pain’s signature triangle pendant. The gesture further cemented their bond, with Zuckerberg even sharing a video of himself putting on the chain and calling it “a vibe.”

The duo has now taken their collaboration to Spotify under the mash-up name “Z-Pain,” thanks to their cover of Lil Jon’s “Get Low.” Proceeds from the song are reportedly being donated to the Save the Music Foundation, according to The New York Times.
