Ferragamo launches beskpoke service for footwear

You can never have too many shoes in your closet. And if it’s stylish, well made, and well as classy as Ferragamo’s Vara, then you can’t subdue the impulse to pick up one. The iconic box-toed shoe decorated with a golden plaque and a grosgrain bow turns a gracious 35. Celebrating the major milestone, the design house has brought out a website called L’Icona, an endeavor that collaborates with photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank.

The web portal will feature twenty-one women from Alexandra Richards, Chiara Clemente to Style.com’s Marina Larroudé wearing custom-made Varas or Varinas. The website with the portraits (Icona.ferragamo.com) will go live on the 1st of May. What’s in it for you, you ask? Well, you get the opportunity to customize your very own pair of Varinas. Plus, you get to catch a video with the 21 gorgeous women (and their new shoes) on screen. The trailer is out now, so you’d know just what to expect when the site goes live.
