Louis Vuitton unveiled a double dose of fashion with the limited-edition $8,500 VIA Varsity Jacket. Designed by Pharrell Williams, it marks the first time a ready-to-wear item from the runway has been transformed into an NFT.

Louis Vuitton never marks down its prices, but it does double up the fun! Louis Vuitton lovers are going to be jumping with joy thanks to the latest product drop. Today, a leather varsity jacket that originally appeared on the Autumn/Winter 2024 men’s runway in January and stole the show has turned into an NFT limited to 200 copies. Interestingly, the NFT can be purchased through a token-gated website, and the physical version drops in November or December.

The dapper jacket, designed by Pharell Williams, the creative director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear lines, brings to life his vision that states the new Louis Vuitton man is a modern cowboy. The garment, made with suede buckskin, shows off iridescent snaps and an embroidered logo. However, this luxury doesn’t come cheap, setting the buyer back by $8,500 as both a physical garment and a digital collectible NFT.

The design marks the first ready-to-wear piece designed by Pharrell to become available for Louis Vuitton’s VIA platform, and it is reserved for owners of the VIA Treasure Trunk, per Hypebeast. Last year, Louis Vuitton launched a collection of VIA “Treasure Trunks” sold as $42,000 limited-edition NFTs.
