Moschino as a label has always rated high on the quirkiness scale. So it’s no surprise that the Moschino French Fries made a comeback. Or even that the ‘Coca Cola Loves Moschino’ was lapped up. And now, it’s the Barbie collection’s turn. A vibrant assembly of baby-doll dresses, crop tops and heart-shaped sunnies became the talk of the town at the recently concluded Milan Fashion Week. Urging us to give a long hard look to its pieces released as Pre-SS15. So ladies, take your best picks from our top five, because these are most likely to run out before you can say “cheap and chic”.
iPhone 5 mirror case
Anyone with the slightest sense of humor and/ or intent to mock narcissism would probably jump at the prospect of purchasing this iPhone “mirror”. For either $58 is hardly a price to pay especially considering the rest of the merch. And to top that, I can’t begin to describe just how comfy that handle looks.
Dress up Barbie T-shirt dress
Is it a T-shirt? Is it a dress? It’s both actually, thank you very much. I can already imagine it jumping straight to the top of ‘Barbie: A Globetrotter’s Guide On How To Pack Light’. If you know what I mean! What else can I say, except, Moschino just made the white cotton tee glamorous. Of course, at the cost of $271!
Small biker shoulder bag
Thanks to Moschino, the iconic Barbie has gone biker and jackets, on to shoulders. That said this teeny sheepskin bag seems the best way to flaunt such a strong biker jacket-purse trend. If it works, you end up coming across as fierce yet feminine. If not, it’s still a pretty badass statement piece at $1,322.
Biker pencil skirt
Seeing this so close after the last selection, you must think we’ve gone on a pink binge. Fortunately or unfortunately, that is one thing we can’t escape when it’s Barbie. Luckily, the color reinforces its position with some great design detail and a to-die-for front zip fastening, for a price of $1,607.
Cropped biker jacket
Yes, it’s cropped and no, we’re not trying to make a set. The buckle fastening front hem on this one would make even a black-trouser pairing look like the work of a celebrity stylist. Of course, with the matching skirt, it just makes us want to say, “come on Barbie let’s go party!” What’s more is, we don’t even mind this comes in no other color. And at a price of $2,025!
