This blinged $49,990 Apple Vision Pro headset has a flip-down cover which is covered with 3.3 pounds of 18K gold. For added comfort, it features plush leather that is used by Rolls Royce in its cars.

Luxury customization brand Caviar is at it again. It’s been less than a month since Apple revealed the intriguing Vision Pro headset and Caviar has already come up with its customized version that is wrapped in gold and features a flip-down cover. The company is known for ridiculously ostentatious iPhone versions that are decorated with jewels, rare materials, and even absurd items such as a Rolex. A Russian YouTuber recently unboxed an iPhone 14 modified by Caviar which is said to be the most expensive in the world with a price tag of around $500,000. Called the CVR Edition, the customized Vision Pro headset by Caviar follows the same formula; although it’s not encrusted with diamonds or other rare gems.

Touted as a revolutionary spatial computer by the Cupertino-based tech giant, Caviar claims it has worked its magic to turn the gadget into a work of designer art. The CVR Edition is said to be inspired by Tom Ford’s flip-up glasses and Gucci ski masks. According to the company, the customized version’s 18K gold flip-down shield was created to hide Vision Pro’s divisive Eyesight feature and “protect your privacy.” “Judging by the public’s reaction, not everyone appreciates having their eyes displayed on the external screen,” the company explains. “With Caviar’s version, you can preserve your privacy if you wish. The choice is yours to make.”

In addition to the flip-down cover, Caviar has dressed the entire headset in gold, including the aluminum body and the digital crown. Caviar says the CVR Edition is decorated with around 3.3 pounds of 18K gold, which could potentially make the headset a little too heavy for the users as the standard Vision Pro is not very light. Furthermore, the headband of the customized version is made from plush Connolly leather, which is also used by the British Royal Court and Rolls-Royce.
