In the last few months, we have seen two Chinese smartphone makers join hands with two of the world’s biggest luxury carmakers; Huawei partnered with Porsche Design for special models of its P and Mate series phones, while Oppo recently collaborated with Lamborghini to launch the special edition OPPO Find X Lamborghini Edition. Joining this latest trend is Chinese phone manufacturer Honor which has entered into a partnership with British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce. According to reports, the collaboration between the two brands will spawn a special edition of the Honor Note 10, which is set to be unveiled on July 26.
Although, most of the details of the special edition smartphone are yet to be announced, but according to rumors the Rolls-Royce edition will come with a ceramic back with the company’s branding instead of a glass back found on the standard variant. The leaked image shows a silver mirror finish on the back with the Rolls-Royce logo in the middle. There’s no information if the phone will have different specifications to differentiate it from the standard Honor Note 10. According to some Chinese tech blogs, the Honor Note 10 Rolls-Royce Edition will sell for ¥9998 (about $1495), which is cheaper than the Huawei and Oppo special editions.
